FIRST POST!!

Welcome to the first post of my blog!
I've never done this before! Absolutely new to the whole experience, but I hope I'll get better as I make these!
Honestly, I should've started this in January, but life kept on distracting me from it, so here we go!
To start off, the reason I'm making this blog is to document my adventures in getting to, and being in The Land of the Rising Sun, Japan! Specifically, I'm setting up to go there to help spread the message of The Gospel that's told through The Holy Bible.
Basically, I'm setting up to be a missionary to the people of Japan.
Wild huh?

Well, it is to me... especially considering where I came from to get to this pursuit!
Honestly, I've been a "christian" for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until recently that I became aware of what it entails to hold such a title... and walking and speaking about it is part of it.
And to properly do this, one must give up their old habits that don't align with this pursuit.
For me, this was drinking and illustrating pornographic images.

I loved my old life so much, that it still tries to cling to my mind from time to time... but I have not only seen the destruction that it can bring, but I also have a higher devotion in my life that fulfills my desires moreso than they ever did. Dwelling on Jesus Christ my King, and learning more about Him and His story told through The Bible, and seeing it absolutely transform broken lives in the present age.
To help someone, sure you can paint a pretty picture, or excite an emotional response, but to truly help someone, you must get to their level, talk to them, and help them to be free from their struggles.
It seems impossible for anyone to do, but that's why the hardest part of that has already been finished, almost 2000 years ago on a Cross on Calvary Hill... and is an endless victory over death itself! We are to simply spread this good news to as many as we can, and be an example of how to walk as one who's a part of Jesus' Kingdom!
And according to recent studies, Japan is #2 on the list of those unknowing of this message's impact on their lives. Such a wonderful and creative people are not set to be in the presence of the God of perfection and peace and goodness in the afterlife, and that sits horribly with me.
Granted, we have no true knowledge of who has or hasn't been received up to God in Heaven, but the cultural atmosphere and majority beliefs therein doesn't correspond to this being the case. And so I am compelled to help change this by going there myself and helping the church there do what God directs us to do!
Currently, the group that's planning to receive me is desiring me to get there September 16th, but God is in control, thus we shall see!

Well, here goes something!
